GOOD MORNING NORTHLAND, WDIO

For WDIO-TV’s 2025 Pancake Day broadcast, I delivered engaging live coverage and vidwall usage that brought the Duluth tradition to life. This newscast connected viewers to the excitement of the event as it began, while also showcasing a balance between blending the news of the morning with the community spirit.

This newscast highlighted key outcomes of Wisconsin’s spring general election and the broader impact of the results. It also covered the effects of overnight snowfall on road conditions, helping viewers start their day safely. Creative use of the Vidwall brought both stories to life for a morning audience.

GOOD MORNING NORTHLAND, WDIO

This newscast spotlighted dangerous winter road conditions as a powerful snow system swept across the Northland. Used the Vidwall creatively to visualize real-time travel impacts. The show also captured the national significance of President Trump’s first address to Congress, pairing sharp, impact-driven headlines with strong editorial pacing to keep the audience informed and engaged throughout.

GOOD MORNING NORTHLAND, WDIO

This newscast featured comprehensive weather coverage as overnight snow threatened a messy morning commute, with creative Vidwall use to emphasize key safety messages. It also introduced a promotable, first-on-GMN story about the upcoming closure of a beloved community bookstore. Strong, impact-driven writing helped elevate both stories and boost audience engagement.

This newscast covered breaking overnight developments of a mid-air collision between a Blackhawk helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet. Visual elements were used strategically to enhance storytelling. The show carefully balanced national breaking news with local coverage, maintaining strong pacing and viewer engagement throughout the morning broadcast.

GOOD MORNING NORTHLAND, WDIO

This newscast centered on the life-threatening cold gripping the Northland, with urgent, visually-driven segments highlighting wind chills of -30 to -40°F and widespread extreme cold warnings. The producing approach prioritized clarity, urgency, and community impact—delivering essential safety information to help viewers protect themselves and their loved ones.

GOOD MORNING NORTHLAND, WDIO

This special edition of Good Morning Northland continued WDIO's Have a Heart, Help a Neighbor campaign, urging donations to Second Harvest Northland. The two-hour broadcast featured several live segments with the meteorologist and reporter, including six impactful interviews, all designed to highlight the powerful community impact of supporting the cause.

This newscast centered on Hurricane Milton as it approached landfall in Florida, with multiple elements to emphasize the national significance of the storm. We highlighted how Northlanders are contributing to recovery efforts, using engaging production techniques to keep viewers informed and connected to the ongoing situation.

UTVS NEWS

UTVS NEWS

This link goes to the full newscast for November 10th, 2022. For this newscast, I lead the charge for our 2022 Midterm election results recap, including stacking, writing, and graphics creation. Also helped student producers with other aspects of the show.

UTVS NEWS

This newscast was a special edition where we aired a half-hour interview with SCSU President Robyn Wacker, simulcasted with SCSU's radio station, KVSC. Following the discussion, we recapped the 2021 election results. Helped lead the team alongside Co-News Director with all aspects of this special edition newscast.

UTVS NEWS

A full newscast that highlights the best of my producing abilities when I took the newscast producing class in the Spring of 2020. Unfortunately, my time during that class was cut short producing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
